Just Add Water confirmed last month that they were working on more Oddworld titles. Now they’ve revealed one of the most highly regarded games in the series is to get a HD remake , exclusively for the PSN.
That seems rather odd (no pun intended) to me given that the original release on 2005 was for the Xbox. I’d bet pennies to pounds that the game will get an XBLA release at some point, especially since JAW confirmed that they were bringing Oddworld back on multiple formats.
My rampant speculation aside, JAW have confirmed the game will come with 720p support, along with other fancy things like normal mapping and self-shadowing. There’ll even be re-mastered dialogue.
For those who missed the game the first time around it offers an excellent chance to play one of the series’ highlights (or even just play it again with added bells and whistles).
Expect it to arrive Easter 2011.
