Zombies!!! for XBLA and PSN shelved

Back in 2008 we posted about how the popular zombie based board game Zombies!!! was coming to PSN and XBLA.
However members of website EvilAvatar noticed that 2009 has come and gone with no sign of the game. They contacted developers Twilight Creations Inc who confirmed that the game has been shelved for the time being and that they were “looking into some alternatives but there are no announcements at this time”.
Reading between those very small lines, we’d guess that the current economic climate has forced the game to be binned (or rather shot in the brain) and that, like a zombie in a very sturdy coffin, it’s now unlikely that it will see the light of day. All in a very similar fashion to Capcom’s Talisman game which died a very quiet death.
Sorry Zombie fans but it looks like you might have to get your fix elsewhere in 2010.
Very very sad. XBLA needs more quality board games!
The thing that pisses me off the most is that Talisman and Zombies!!! were being developed by Big Rooster. Both were dropped because of lack of effort on the developers part. I will never buy anything developed by Big Rooster.

The future of the PSN version is currently uncertain but could be a possibility if the game sells well enough.
