If you live in the UK and are a fan of the original Lost Winds, then you might want to check out the latest edition of EDGE magazine. The mag spills the details on the upcoming sequel to one of WiiWare’s launch titles, the anticipated LostWinds II (subtitled Winter of The Melodias).
We liked the original game here at Console Arcade and it seems that the developers have been listening to a lot of the complaints players had with it. The short play time looks like it will be addressed to start with.
The EDGE article promises a few new surprises such as being able to switch seasons from Summer to Winter to solve puzzles, little Toku having the ability to swim and create cyclones that can drill through rocks and lift up water. The game will also have a new map system and in-game hint system.
It also confirms that sales of the first were in line with what the developers expected and that the development of the sequel is almost complete. We hope that we can look forward to more details in the coming months.
