It seems that Amazon are starting to become a major player in helping to expand the audience of downloadable content – first with XBLA and now with WiiWare. A listing for World of Goo has appeared on their site which indicates that instead of a physical copy of the game, you get a code to enter in to the Wii and claim the download. Interesting stuff and once again a real benefit to people who don’t want to spend more points than they have to when using pre-paid cards.
As you’ll see it’s US only at the moment and Amazon have been strangley quiet about running this service, or whether we’ll even see it coming to other regions. We’re expecting a PSN download section to spring up any day now.
