If you’re one of those people who’s a little bit sad that Puzzle Quest went all sci-fi with Galactrix, then all might not be lost. Puzzle Chronicles may just be the game for you.
While it’s not a direct follow up, it is being created by the same people (Infinite Interactive) and seems to have a lot in common -although before Puzzle Quest stalwarts get too excited it isn’t exactly the same thing. Unlike Puzzle Quest the battle system is done in real time and involves a Columns style affair of matching coloured gems.
It’s certainly an interesting idea and we’re already calling that there’ll be a Galctrix style spin off at some point in the future too. In the meantime, a hands on preview and more images of Puzzle Chronicals can be found at Destructoid.
