We know what your first question is going to be – what does D.A.C. stand for? We don’t know. Nobody does apart from the game developers and crafty old J.J. Abrams – apparently that’s quite deliberate…
What we do know is that the game is coming to the XBLA and PSN around the time that the new film launches- that’s the 8th May for anyone not following it.
What can we expect? Well, here’s a run down.
- Online multiplayer for up to 12 people as The Federation goes up against The Romulans.
- It’s a top down 3D shooter designed to be as `pick up and play` as possible
- It’s been developed to run alongside the films plot rather than retell it – no doubt the reason for all the secrecy as to what D.A.C. stands for.
- There’ll be several different ship types including the USS Enterprise
- Plans for DLC which could include news ships, missions, modes etc.
