Definitely one for puzzle fans, the bi-weekly update for the European WiiWare store brings you Critter Round-Up from Konami for 1000 Wii Points. The game was released in the US earlier this year to a very a tepid reception.
There’s also the elaborately titled MaBoShi: The Three Shape Arcade for 800 Points, a Japanese style puzzler.

Q-Entertainment have announced that their next release on XBLA will be a conversion of their DS puzzler Meteos. Of course the game won’t have the touch screen interface (unless Microsoft have a very secret touch screen peripheral announcement up their sleeve that will catch everyone off guard) so it’ll be interesting to see how well the game sits with fans of the series.
In a bold move a price point of 800 Microsoft Points and a launch window of October have already been announced, meaning the game is obviously quite far in to development. The game also promises support for two player action over Xbox Live.

It’s been no secret that the Sega Saturn game Death Tank is being ported across to Xbox Live Arcade and now the first footage has been released.
For those of you who don’t know about the game, here’s what developers Snowblind Studios have to say about it:
Death Tank is a fast-paced action game requiring quick reflexes and cunning strategy. Devastating weapons and unique items give your tank unlimited destructive power. Eight separate landscapes react to tank combat, altering their shape when hit and providing an ever changing environment in which to play. Players can battle friends or the computer in single player combat. Through Xbox Live, up to eight tanks can simultaneously enter the Death Tank arena for exciting team play or a chaotic free-for-all. Crisp graphics and amazing effects, coupled with addictive game play makes each battle a visceral experience.
No price point or date yet, but as soon as we hear anything we’ll let you know.

There’s Alien Hominid (which is also available as a download on the Live Arcade if you’re particularly taken with it) and the beat-em up, Dad & Me.

It’s been announced that those who pre-order the new Rare game Banjo Kazooie Nuts & Bolts in the US will be given a code to obtain the Banjo Kazooie HD remAke for XBLA free of charge and earlier than it’s official release on the XBLA.
The code will be activated on the release day of Nuts & Bolts, November 18th while everyone else will have to wait an extra two weeks.
The promotion will only be available from participating retailers and at the moment the deal has only been announced for US residents. However there’s no reason why the deal won’t be extended and as soon as there’s news we’ll keep you informed.
If that wasn’t enough, there’ll also be a port of the games sequel, Banjo Tooie, for the XBLA some time later. So there’s plenty for Rare fans to look forward to.

This weeks update for WiiWare users in the States is Gameloft’s conversion of their mobile phone title, Midnight Pool.
